Modern advances

Like any other science, ABA is constantly being updated as research is produced. Modern ABA techniques focus on manipulating behaviour antecedents and the wider context in which the behaviour occurs (motivational operation) rather than on simply reinforcing or punishing behaviours.

This means that the technology is proactive rather than reactive - appropriate behaviours are elicited and reinforced so that the experience of learning can be positive and faster for the learner.
